About Arcoiris...
Arcoiris is a small business owned and operated by a single mom living in the Big Apple (nyc). Arcoiris started as a joke between me and my kids and today thanks to my children encouragement and the internet, Arcoiris is a reality.
During the Pandemic I began to question a lot of things and I started to get interested in how things are made. Rather than relying on the supermarket like most of us do I wanted to start taking steps on being more self dependent.
My hair was falling out for no apparent reason. This is how I started researching into detergents Vs. Natural made soaps. Soaps are made with biodegradable ingredients while detergents are made with man-made synthetic chemicals.
Our ancestors discovered that running water through wood ashes and mixing it with animal fats would create a natural occurring reaction in the animal fat that was powerful enough to remove grease and dirt. This primitive attempt to soap making has been perfected throughout the years in a way that we can now make vegan soap without the harsh chemicals from the soap industry.
Since natural soaps can't be Patented that gave birth to the synthetic soap industry. I wasn't sure what was causing my hair loss, but I switched from using Detergent in my hair and body to using natural soap. My hair started growing again and my skin started to have an "after glow" after every shower.
